What is Insomnia? How to get rid of it?
Have you ever woken up for hours, thought about the future
you took sides, and tried to sleep well? One third of the world's population is
experiencing sleep apnea, and this condition usually lasts for a few weeks. But
when this condition of sleep last for long, then it can cause sleep disturbance
which is called insomnia.
An insomnia person is unable to sleep or maintain restful
sleep. As a result, it faces problems such as constant fatigue, weakness and
neglect in work and in memory. Insomnia can lead to depression, anxiety, and
tension. It can affect work performance and overall quality of life. Studies in
various countries around the world have reported that 10 to 60 percent of the
population suffers from insomnia. Insomnia is common in elderly, women, and
sick and mentally ill.
What
are the causes of insomnia?
The biological processes that control our circadian rhythms in our daily life act like any physical clock of our body. The daily activities that take place during the day are the times in which we are able to control our state of sleep or mood. These processes are sensitive to our physical heat, alertness and light. A small or high amount of them can prevent our body from releasing sleep hormones such as melatonin.
On the other hand, social groups such as working overnight or
visiting overseas can also be a component. These factors can cause us to be at
odds with our physical appearance. As the standard time of each country in the
world varies, so when you travel between different countries, being in the time
zone in those countries allows your body to perform day-to-day tasks. It takes
some time to get back into the clutter for performance. Changes in daily
activities create irregularities in sleep, which then lead to insomnia.
In the end, some of the most important psychological factors,
such as depression, anxiety, aggressive thoughts, and impaired thinking, can
cause sleep disruption. So if a doctor has examined you properly and given you
a medical malady, how would you treat it?
You can try to sleep and wake up regularly at the same time
each day. Also, make sure your bedrooms are dark and comfortable.
It is important that you minimize the use of TV screens and
mobile phones before sleeping because of the hormone called melatonin that
controls the sleep and wakefulness of the blue light emitted from the TV and
mobile phone screens. Prevents the extraction process.
You should eat balanced foods and avoid caffeine and alcohol
before sleeping. During the day, you can work out and exercise to improve your
physical activity.
In more dangerous cases the doctor may prescribe your sleep
medication. But if used properly, they can only help you for a short period of
time because in the long run, their use can make them both dangerous and
harmful.
